Neptunes Fury 01 captures the incredible power of nature as a massive wave crashes against the South Gare lighthouse at the mouth of the River Tees during a severe coastal storm.

Neptunes Fury 01 (my award winning image) is pretty much a perfect description of the sea conditions on that day. Huge waves were breaking over the lighthouse constantly for over an hour as the tide was coming in, and the weather kept swapping between rain, hail and strong wind.
Well, the shot was taken during a Force Eight gale on the Beaufort Wind Scale (39-46mph) so the horrible weather was expected, but you really had to be there to actually experience the full fury of the sea, and feel the sandbar shake whenever a huge wave hit the lighthouse. It was a truly breathtaking experience.
The shot was taken from a sandbar that juts out from the right hand side of the South Gare breakwater into the North Sea and the sandbar becomes fully submerged at high tide, so a close eye has to kept on the tide to avoid being cut off.

Do you sell image prints?
We don’t sell digital image prints due to the huge variation in printing costs and print quality, and of course the huge variation in shipping costs/restrictions depending where in the world you’re located.
How do I receive my image?
Once your payment has cleared you will receive a link to download your purchase. The image/images are contained in a zip file which also contains your image licence. This licence also contains confirmation that you have full printing rights which some printers do ask for. If you set up an account during the checkout process you can login to your account at any time to download your purchase.
Can I get a refund?
Due to the fact that a digital image file is extremely easy to duplicate we do not provide refunds on purchases, so please ensure you’re happy with your image choice before you pay for it.
