After The Rain was a perfect example of being in the right place at the right time on a cold September morning. The weather forecast didn’t look promising, with heavy rain forecast and an overcast sky. I decided to take the risk & headed down to Saltburn Pier with my camera and tripod on the off chance that the rain may ease off, or even stop for a short while.
I attached my camera to the tripod and put the rain cover on the camera in the car park as I didn’t want to risk dropping it on the slippery boards on the pier in the rain, then headed off to the pier, it wasn’t looking promising as sunrise was fast approaching. However, as the saying goes, fortune favours the brave, so it was a risk work taking, and I’m pleased that I did.
After standing in the rain for a good 20 minutes I’d had enough & decided to pack up & head home. Then as I reached the end of the pier the rain stopped, I looked back down the pier at the horizon and the clouds were parting and starting to light up with a stunning orange glow. So I set up at the end of the pier, made sure the camera was level, composed the shot, and pressed the shutter. Checked the shot on the back of the camera & noticed the clouds were thickening and it was starting to rain again, so packed up and headed back to my car, happy that I’d got the image that you see here.

Do you sell image prints?
We don’t sell digital image prints due to the huge variation in printing costs and print quality, and of course the huge variation in shipping costs/restrictions depending where in the world you’re located.
How do I receive my image?
Once your payment has cleared you will receive a link to download your purchase. The image/images are contained in a zip file which also contains your image licence. This licence also contains confirmation that you have full printing rights which some printers do ask for. If you set up an account during the checkout process you can login to your account at any time to download your purchase.
Can I get a refund?
Due to the fact that a digital image file is extremely easy to duplicate we do not provide refunds on purchases, so please ensure you’re happy with your image choice before you pay for it.
